God, draw us closer to you this lent.
Worldly things are attractive and are relentless in trying to influence us.
Adjustments are made instead of sincerely following you.
Even when we try to embrace Jesus’ path, we are isolated, wrongly accused and attacked.
Help us to win over those who are opposed to God. Amen.
