Genesis 41:1–21 ‘I had a dream, and no one can interpret it.’ (v15)

This time it is Pharaoh’s turn to dream. Today we see the powerlessness of the magicians and everyone else in Pharaoh’s court. While the magicians could not interpret the dreams of Pharaoh, Joseph is confident in his God. Can we trust God to come through for us every time? We are told elsewhere in Genesis that nothing is too hard for the Lord.

Everything is under God’s dominion. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Every knee shall bow before Him. We notice the inferior power of all other powers. Nothing and no one can match the power and authority of Yahweh. Joseph knew God was able, so he was not daunted by the situation.

Do we live in the truth that whatever we face God is able? Are we confident enough in our faith to stand on the promises of God and trust Him? How much less anxious we might be if we lived in the truth that He is able. What obstacles might there be to us trusting that God is totally faithful and able?
